1. Scope and Acceptance

• Effective date: These Terms take effect when you access or use TLHP (the “Site”).
• By accessing or using the Site you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms, TLHP policies (privacy, refunds, content guidelines), and any posted updates.

2. About TLHP (Platform Purpose)

• Purpose: TLHP is a free, digital museum preserving personal stories of Malaysians for education and public benefit while raising funds through our gift shop. TLHP is a platform and not a party to private contracts between contributors and third parties.

3. Accounts, Registration and Eligibility

• Users must provide accurate, current information and keep credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account. TLHP may suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

4. Content, Contributions and Licensing

• User content: Contributors of their submissions grant TLHP ownership and worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to host, reproduce, display, adapt and distribute content for the Site's mission and promotion.
• Prohibited content: No hate speech, illegal material, copyrighted works without permission, or content that violates privacy or third-party rights. TLHP may remove or refuse content at its discretion.

5. Use of the Site and Prohibited Conduct

• Do not impersonate others, manipulate metadata, scrape the Site, or use automated tools without TLHP's written consent.
• Respect contributor rights and privacy; do not republish interviews or oral histories outside permitted uses.

6. Purchases and Shop

TLHP's Shop proceeds support the museum. Purchase terms, delivery, and refunds are governed by TLHP's shop policies.

7. Privacy and Data

TLHP's Privacy Policy explains collection, use, storage, and sharing of personal data. By using the Site you consent to those practices.

8. Liability, Indemnity and Disclaimers

• Limitation of liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, TLHP is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from Site use.
• Indemnity: You agree to indemnify TLHP against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your content.

9. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Malaysian law. Disputes should first be raised via TLHP's contact channels; unresolved matters may proceed to the courts of Malaysia.

10. Changes, Notices and Contact

• TLHP may update these Terms; material changes will be posted with an effective date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
