FOUNDERS OF TLHP

BOBBY YP WONG

Founder and Owner

Bobby YP Wong founded The Living History Project under The BEW Foundation, established by his family. The son of the late Dato Wong Kee Tat, a notable figure in Malaysian real estate and finance, Wong has continued his legacy through projects like The Istara Condominium and Api-Api Centre. Beyond real estate, his interests include tech, broadcasting, and film. Through Seeing Eye Arts, he actively supports the arts and cultural preservation, reflecting his dedication to Malaysia’s heritage and the mission of The Living History Project.

NAFHAH LIYANA

Producer and Partner

Nafhah Liyana is a seasoned production manager and partner of The Living History Project. She began her career at Peppermint Productions Asia, handling international film distribution, and later joined Seeing Eye Arts, where she has worked for over a decade on films, documentaries, and photography projects. Known for her professionalism and creativity, Liyana also freelances to stay current with industry trends. As a partner of The Living History Project, she oversees production and ensures the team’s vision is realized, proud to contribute to preserving cultural history through storytelling.

MINDY TEH

A celebration of expression in all its forms

Mindy Teh is an award-winning writer and former Editor-in-Chief of Marie Claire and The Peak Malaysia, with work featured in international editions. A recipient of the D&AD Yellow Pencil and the first Asian winner of the Commonwealth Society/BBC radio short story competition, she brings a deep passion for history, culture, and the arts to the team.

HANIS RADHIAH BINTI HAMZAH

Head of Communication

Hanis Radhiah Binti Hamzah is a versatile media professional with strong expertise in editorial leadership, content creation, and social media marketing. With experience spanning journalism, brand messaging, video production, and NFT campaigns, she has contributed to diverse organisations across publishing, finance, and tech. Hanis holds a BA in English with Creative Writing and is currently pursuing her MA in Media, Communications and Culture at the University of Nottingham Malaysia.

REBECCA YX YEOH

Heritage Director (Penang)

Rebecca Yeoh Yao Xia is an educator, writer, and curator whose work bridges literature, culture, and memory. She lectures at Xiamen University Malaysia and has curated exhibitions for institutions like CENDANA and the British Council. Rebecca’s writing spans arts publications and content platforms, supported by academic training from USM, King’s College London, and a PhD in Sociology and Anthropology.

NATALIE LAW

Assistant Executive Producer

Natalie Law is a first-class Politics and International Relations graduate from the University of Bristol with a passion for conservation, sustainability, and social justice. She has experience in grant writing, research, and public engagement through roles at Badan Warisan Malaysia, Biji-Biji Initiative, and Me.reka. Multilingual and globally engaged, she brings strong academic credentials and a proven commitment to heritage and advocacy work.

Yip Shuet Ling is a financial leader with over 9 years of experience in strategic finance, forecasting, and operational optimization. Known for driving profitability and leading high-performing teams, she currently oversees financial operations for multiple companies, delivering data-driven insights and ensuring strong financial governance.

DAVID WOO

Technical Advisor

David Woo is an infrastructure expert with over 20 years of experience specializing in Linux and cloud platforms like AWS and Google Cloud. A Malaysian MENSA member with an IQ of 180, he holds a BSc in Physics (Computational & Theoretical) from National Chung Cheng University. David is known for his analytical acumen and ability to deliver advanced, adaptive infrastructure solutions.
